On May 26 at Nam Ou 4 in Laos, #2 working arc gate of flood discharge and sandflushing sluice fell slowly, which marks the successful completion of sluicegate impoundment of cascade IV hydropower station, laying a solid foundationfor the first unit of cascade IV hydropower station to generate electricity. 

The station, located in Ph?ngsali province,is the fourth cascade of the seven-cascade hydropower stations on Nam Ou River.Its installed capacity is 132 MW, check flood level of the reservoir is 389.0m, normal pool level is 386.0 m, dead water level is 384.0 M and maximum damheight is 59m.
