On May 18, 2020, the appraisalcommittee chaired by China Hydropower Engineering Society appraised KHIDI’s subject Key technologies and application of ecologicalregulation and control of rainwater runoff in sponge city in China’s Southern waterfrontarea. 

This subject studied systematicallyfrom planning, design to construction of sponge city in southern waterfrontarea under national technical codes and on typical project. Its technicalachievements have been applied successfully to such projects as planning ofsponge city in Shuifu County of Yunnan Province, the first phase spongereconstruction project of Hengqin New Area Camping Park in Zhuhai City, the Eco-watercycle demonstration project of Mingtong primary school in Kunming City, and theEPC engineering technical bid scheme of the first batch of sponge Citydemonstration projects in Hengqin new area. The subject has been granted 9authorized utility model patents and other scientific and technologicalachievements for its technical innovation and significant benefits in social economyand environment protection. 

As evaluated and agreed by the participantexperts, this subject has reached the international advanced level.
